Shoshanna joined the movement in her hometown in 1929. She graduated from high school in 1940 and travelled to Budapest. In 1941 she stayed in a hahshara. In 1942 Shoshanna gave assistance to refugees, comrades from the movement that arrived from Slovakia. In cunning ways she obtained authentic documents for them. Shoshanna was active in the hostel for youngsters on Zöldmáli Street where young refugees also found refuge. After the German invasion of Hungary on 19.3.1944, upon her parents’ request, she travelled to see them but was caught, arrested and taken to the Strasshof camp and from there to Theresienstadt. After the war Shoshanna returned to Budapest and worked in a children’s boarding school where Jewish children, who during the war had found refuge with Christian families or in convents, were gathered. Shoshanna made aliya in 1950 with her husband Miklós and her son Gabriel.
